Call To Action: Tell Your Representative To Vote YES To Censure Lying Adam Schiff

On May 23, 2023 Rep. Ana Paulina Luna (FL-13) filed a privileged resolution, H. Res. 437, to censure, condemn, and fine Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) $16 million dollars (half the cost of the Russia investigation) for his egregious abuse of the trust of the American people.

At the time Rep. Luna said she anticipated that the House Republican Leadership would hold Schiff accountable for his deceitful actions.

“It is the obligation of House Leadership to back up this motion for the American people and hold this feckless man accountable,” Rep. Luna said.

“This is a privileged resolution and it is the right thing for House Leadership to support and bring accountability and respect back to the House of Representatives. ALL Members of Congress must be held to this standard.

Accordingly, said Rep. Luna, the resolution requires Rep. Schiff to pay a $16 million dollar fine, half of the cost American taxpayers were forced to pay for the Russia hoax investigation.

However, during the Wednesday, June 14, 2023, vote, 20 Republicans joined Democrats to vote down the resolution.

The 20 Republicans voting “NO” on H. Res. 437 were:

Kelly Armstrong (R-ND)

Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R, OR-5)

Juan Ciscomani (R, AZ-6)

Tom Cole (R, OK-4)

Warren Davidson (R, OH-8)

Brian Fitzpatrick (R, PA-1)

Kay Granger (R, TX-12)

Garrett Graves (R, LA-6)

Thomas Kean (R, NJ-7)

Kevin Kiley (R, CA-3)

Young Kim (R, CA-40)

Mike Lawler (R, NY-17)

Thomas Massie (R, KY-4)

Tom McClintock (R, CA-5)

Marc Molinaro (R, NY-19)

Jay Obernolte (R, CA-23)

Mike Simpson (R, ID-2)

Michael Turner (R, OH-10)

David Valadao (R, CA-22)

Steve Womack (R, AR-3)

After the vote some of the 20 indicated they would be willing to vote for a resolution censuring Schiff and sending his case to the Ethic Committee for a determination of a fine – if any. Such a procedure would be more in keeping with the House’s procedures and regular order of business they argued.

Undeterred by the first vote, Rep. Luna tweeted just so there is no confusion (as some did not accurately read the bill) I will be filing a privileged motion to censure and send Schiff to ethics for investigation. See you next week Adam.

We urge CHQ readers and friends to contact their Representative, and the 20 Republican Members of the House who voted against H. Res. 437 to demand they vote “AYE” on Rep. Ana Paulina Luna’s new resolution censuring Adam Schiff – easily the most dishonest and reprehensible human being ever to sully the United States Congress with his presence. The Capitol Switchboard is (202-224-3121), the phone numbers of the 20 Republicans who failed to censure Schiff are on the picture above – call today and demand they censure Schiff when the new Resolution comes up for a vote.

  • Rep. Ana Paulina Luna (FL-13)

  • H. Res. 437

  • Fine Adam Schiff $16 million

  • censure motion

  • 20 Republicans vote no

  • Republican leadership

  • Speaker Kevin McCarthy

  • Ethics Committee

I'd love to help out, but sending a letter to my representative wouldn't help -- because he's Adam Schifferbrains himself. The best I can do is vote against him.

I'm disgusted. My Congress weasel, Kay Granger, voted against it. That's the kind of "representative" she is. I will do everything I can to support anyone who opposes her during the next primary.

Those 20 idiotic Republicans are further proof of how bad the GOP is and has been. How can we trust the party after this . . . ?
