End The January 6 Committee Witch Hunt NOW!

The January 6th Committee witch hunt is a political intimidation campaign by the Left. The Committee has assumed absolute powers with the full backing of the Biden Justice Department with the goal of ruining Donald Trump supporters.

At least 884 Americans have been charged for protesting at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, most for specious crimes, such as trespassing or illegally parading at the Capitol. NOW, they are even targeting the wife of a Supreme Court Justice in a blatant intimidation campaign. In this case, Rep. Schiff admits that the ultimate target is not Ms. Thomas, but her husband. This blatant abuse of power must be vocally and actively opposed, and this made for TV Star Chamber needs to endbefore the erosion of our constitutional liberty becomes permanent.

Our friends at Americans for Limited Government, in coordination with a broad coalition of conservative organizations, have drafted a letter to Congress demanding an end to this Un-American political witch hunt.

Here is the text of the letter we ask you to join us in sending:

Dear Congressman:

I am deeply upset by the conduct of the January 6th Committee. It has proven to be travesty of political theater and warfare, not a real investigation into all the relevant facts about what happened on that day in 2021.

Now, members of the Committee, Reps. Liz Cheney and Adam Schiff, are threatening to subpoena Ginni Thomas, the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas. This appears to be a further escalation in the effort by Rep. Cheney and others on that panel to silence, persecute and, where possible, prosecute political opponents. In this case, Rep. Schiff admits that the ultimate target is not Ms. Thomas, but her husband. This blatant abuse of power must be vocally and actively opposed.

Ginni Thomas is a leader of the conservative movement in America. She has been for decades. It is outrageous for partisans opposed to her work to use what amounts to little more than a Stalinist show-trial to try to prevent her from engaging in public advocacy or to suggest that she is not entitled to express her own opinions because of her husband’s position.

I call on you to publicly reject this obvious attempt to intimidate these outstanding Americans and to interfere with their respective, greatly valued service to our country.

In an 8-page rebuttal to the Committee’s letter summoning Mrs. Thomas before the Committee, attorney Mark Paoletta knocked-down the lies and mischaracterizations that the Committee and Democrats have unleashed against the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.

Mr. Paoletta was particularly forceful in rebutting the innuendo and mischaracterization Mrs. Thomas’s communications with Trump attorney John Eastman, whom the Committee has attempted to paint as a central figure in its imaginary conspiracy to “overturn” the 2020 election.

Noting that leaks from this Committee have led reporters to write that recently produced “emails” from Mr. Eastman “show that Thomas’s efforts to overturn the election were more extensive than previously known.” Mr. Paoletta bluntly told the Committee, “…as you are aware, Mr. Eastman’s emails show no such thing” and “Not a single document shows any coordination between Mrs. Thomas and Mr. Eastman.”

Attorney Mark Paoletta’s letter to the Committee also destroys the narrative that Ginni Thomas was likewise at the center of some vast conspiracy involving then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

Schiff and Cheney have already taken the persecution of conservatives far beyond the legislative purpose articulated in the resolution establishing the Committee and conservatives and other lovers of liberty must band together now to ensure that no further damage to our system of constitutional liberty is done.
