Join The Fight Against Biden Bucks And Executive Order 14019

President Biden's Executive Order 14019, signed on March 7, 2021, directs federal agencies to promote access to voting. This includes using agency resources and premises to support voter registration through "approved" nonpartisan organizations, which lack any center or right-of-center representation.

The implementation of E.O. 14019 has raised concerns of partisan bias, with evidence suggesting alignment with far left-leaning think tanks and NGOs funded by dark money. Additionally, the administration's assertion of Presidential Communications Privilege over strategic plans and core documents has highlighted a significant lack of transparency.

The Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project has released two memoranda detailing the partisan-based evidence surrounding E.O. 14019, as well as key documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)—highlighting the federal government's use of federal tax payers dollars for partisan get-out-the-vote efforts.

Memorandum 2: Steps States Can Take to Frustrate Biden’s Federally Funded and Partisan Get-Out-The-Vote Election Interference

Memo two, released on May 16, 2024, reveals the Biden administration's extensive efforts to conceal documents related to E.O. 14019 from Congress and the public. It also outlines potential state-level actions to mitigate the partisan use of federal resources for get-out-the-vote initiatives under E.O. 14019.

The Foundation for Government Accountability has also been heavily involved in the Bidenbucks battle, filing numerous Freedom of Information Act requests,

FGA has concluded that, at the minimum, what’s become known as “Bidenbucks” is a clear abuse of power. Political appointees—whose job security literally depends on Democrats being re-elected in 2022 and 2024—are being deputized to register and mobilize voters and submit their plans directly to the White House. 

It is an unconstitutional and undemocratic way for the incumbent to intentionally put his or her finger on the scale to affect the outcome of an election—and use your tax dollars to do so.

Another big problem is the level of secrecy that has accompanied this executive order. When several agencies failed to respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for documents pertaining to President Biden’s order, the FGA filed suit against the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), leading to a court ruling that ordered DOJ to produce all documents it is required to produce under the law ahead of this year’s election.

On September 8, DOJ turned over some (but not all) of the documents legally required, and what was turned over was heavily redacted. What is the administration trying so hard to hide, asked the Foundation’s investigators?

Let’s stipulate that government action, usually in the form of pork barrel spending has long been a feature of American politics, but this is different.

Why?

As the Heritage Foundation and Foundation for Government Accountability investigations have revealed, this is a whole of government approach that involves regulatory agencies, law enforcement and even the IRS in turning out the vote for Democrats in the most aggressive manner possible – using taxpayer dollars.

Bottom line: Lawmakers, both in Congress and at the state level, know that election integrity matters to the people they were elected to represent. Important progress has been made over the past two years towards restoring trust in our elections, but new schemes like Bidenbucks threaten that progress. While FGA and Heritage pursue ongoing efforts in court, grassroots activists, state and federal elected officials have a historic opportunity to join this fight.
