Start your day at the National Prayer Service on Friday, January 21, 2022 at DAR Constitution Hall, 1776 D Street NW, at 18th Street, from 8:30-10:30am. This will be the premier prayer event marking the tragic commemoration of Roe vs. Wade. The morning will start with Mass at 7:30 a.m. celebrated by Bishop Joseph Coffey. At the interdenominational prayer service beginning at 8:30 a.m., for Allie, Pro-life Recognition Awards will be given to the people of Texas responsible for its Heartbeat Law and Mississippi, whose pro-life law led to the Supreme Court case that could reverse Roe vs. Wade!

Fr. Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, will preach at the service. Danielle D’Souza Gill will be the emcee for the event. Mike Donehey of the popular Christian music band Tenth Avenue North will be the musical guest. Admission is free. Help us fill the beautiful hall with prayers and song as we prepare to go out and march in defense of the most defenseless among us. The event consists exclusively of two worship services: the Mass and the Interdenominational prayer service. Because worship is religiously exempt, attendees are not required to provide any proof of vaccination or of a negative COVID test

FLASH UPDATE: If individuals over the age of 12 wish to eat indoors at a restaurant in DC, they must provide proof of vaccination. Alternatively, if they are medically exempt or unable to take the vaccine out of a sincerely held religious belief, they must show documentation of their medical or religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine and must provide a negative PCR or antigen test from within the last 24 hours. Proof of vaccination is not required to briefly enter a restaurant to pick-up carryout food.

Public transportation does not require proof of vaccination. However, masks are required regardless of vaccination status.

The theme for this year’s March for Life, Equality Begins in the Womb, highlights how true equality is only possible if we recognize that children in the womb also deserve protection.

“We are delighted to welcome these incredible speakers to the March for Life,” said Jeanne Mancini, president of March for Life Education and Defense Fund. “Americans everywhere know that unborn children deserve equal rights and protection under the law. We expect this year’s March for Life to be historic with even higher levels of enthusiasm from participants. We are hopeful that, with Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization before the Supreme Court, 2022 will bring us much closer to building the culture of life we have all marched for since Roe v. Wade was tragically imposed on our nation nearly 50 years ago.”
