The media firestorm that began in 2015 over Donald Trump’s accurate comment that the illegal aliens coming from Mexico include “rapists, drug runners, and other criminals” shows no sign of abating.
And the political gyrations and word salads generated by establishment Republicans trying to distance themselves from Trump when confronted with those comments has long been a source of disgust tinged with amusement among the team here.
Who can forget that Jeb Bush said that he was “absolutely and personally offended” by Trump’s description of Mexican illegal aliens as “rapists” and criminals.
But what Jeb Bush called “an act of love” has cost thousands of Americans their lives, the sanctity of their persons and billions of dollars in lost property.
Back in 2020 the Department of Justice disclosed that 94 percent of all confirmed aliens in Department of Justice custody are unlawfully present in the United States. Unsurprisingly, since Joe Biden became president data on illegal aliens in custody has gotten hard to come by.
And the illegal alien crime wave has gotten so bad that the establishment news media have established a policy of not reporting on the immigration status of criminals because it undermines the narrative that illegal border crossing is a victimless crime that helps the economy. (False on both counts by the way.)
So, when Nikki Haley refused to agree with Trump that illegal border crossers are poisoning our country, the Trump campaign vaporized her in a new ad resurrecting a 2015 clip of Haley’s remarks to the Aspen Institute wherein she said, “We don’t need to talk about them as criminals. They’re not.”
Make America Great Again Inc. must have been waiting for the opportunity to drop that ad on Nikki Haley because they released "Poisoning" almost immediately upon Haley disagreeing with Trump’s “poisoning” comments. You can view the ad here or here if the viewer above doesn’t run.
Transcript:
ANNOUNCER: Drug traffickers. Rapists. Poisoning our country.
But Nikki Haley refused to call illegals "criminals."
HALEY CLIP: We don’t need to talk about them as criminals. They’re not.
ANNOUNCER: Illegals are criminals, Nikki – that’s what illegal means.
Haley even opposed Trump’s wall.
And Haley repeatedly pushed amnesty for illegals.
HALEY CLIP: We don’t need to talk about them as criminals. They’re not.
ANNOUNCER: Nikki Haley. Too weak – too liberal – to fix the border.
Nikki Haley has been variously described as Jeb Bush in high heels and Jeb Bush in a skirt, so, she and Jeb can take all the personal offense at Trump’s comments on illegal aliens they want, but all the self-righteous indignation they can muster will not bring back any of the thousands of Americans killed by the policies that they and Joe Biden support.

In addition to this, the American public needs to know why the Secretary of Defense was in the hospital for three or four days with no one knowing, not even former Vice-President Biden. Additionally, the Assistant Secretary of Defense was on vacation in Puerto Rico. Can this administration do anything right?
What if the country had been attacked or a war started . . . ?
Haley lost me for ever when she took down the Confederate Flag as governor of South Carolina. That was all I needed to know. She is a RINO. So are the Bushes. So this is a definite double whammy right off the bat.
I don't think he would do it, but the only way President Trump loses my vote is if he selects Haley as his running mate this November . . .
