NY Dems Demand Taxpayers Pay For Out-of-State Illegal Alien Abortions

It is hard to overstate the extent of the Democrats’ appetite for killing babies, but a proposal by New York Democrat politicians to recruit illegal aliens to receive taxpayer funded abortions – and even force Empire State taxpayers to cover their travel to the abortion site –

shows Democrats have descended to a new level of depravity unreached since the end of the Nazi’s reign of death in 1945.

According to reporting by Zach Williams of the New York Post, New York Democrats want taxpayers to fund abortions for out-of-state women – including illegal aliens – through a proposed state program costing tens of millions of dollars per year.

“That’s the goal of this bill – to ensure that everyone can get the care that they need no matter their [immigration] status or their socio-economic conditions, insurance status, all that,” Assemblywoman Jessica González-Rojas (D-Queens), told The Post Monday about the legislation she is sponsoring with state Sen. Cordell Cleare (D-Harlem).

The envisioned Reproductive Freedom and Equity Program would cover medical costs and traveling expenses as well as “childcare, lodging, lost wages and more” through nonprofits who would receive public money through the annual budget process, according to the legislative language.

People living in New York, as well as out-of-state residents, would be eligible for the program.

So, it is not enough for Democrats to kill babies whose mothers already live in New York, now they have recruited Far Left non-government organizations to go on search and destroy missions across the world looking for more babies to kill.

And, lest you think this is just a few Far Left “woke” nut cases – it is not – it’s the entire leadership of New York’s Democrat-dominated government.

The NY Post’s Mr. Williams reports the chairs of the health committees in both legislative chambers – state Sen. Gustavo Rivera (D-Bronx) and Assemblyman Richard Gottfried (D-Manhattan) — expressed support for the bill when asked by the Post on Monday.

A spokesman for state Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins endorsed the bill as did Democrat U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, who tweeted his support for the legislation Monday following a press conference featuring state Attorney General Letitia James, who floated the idea for such a fund late last year, and other supporters of the bill.

At least two dozen Democrats in the Assembly and state Senate have signed on as co-sponsors of the newly introduced legislation, which could become part of a package of abortion-related bills that could pass both chambers before legislators adjourn for the year on June 2, reported Post’s Zach Williams.

Initial estimates call for a fund of $50 million, but no one really knows how much such a program will cost New York’s hard-pressed taxpayers.

Democrat Attorney General James says that back in 2019, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data shows 9%, or 7,000, abortions in New York were for people from out of state. She said if Roe v. Wade is overturned that number is expected to increase nearly 500% to more than 32,000 procedures a year. That estimate is just for people who may travel from Ohio and Pennsylvania according to the proabortion Guttmacher Institute.

"The governor and attorney general have no right to force New Yorkers to pay for abortions for non-New Yorkers. New Yorkers, who already pay the highest taxes in the country, need to fight it," New York State Conservative Party Chair Gerard Kassar told Rochester’s WHEC-TV.

Kassar said New York already has the most radical abortion laws in the country, allowing the termination of an unborn child right up until birth.

"But that's not enough for Governor Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James who now want to turn the state into a national mecca for abortion procedures wholly paid for by New York taxpayers," Kassar said.

A News10NBC Twitter poll found that 62% of the 340 people who responded do not support New York State using taxpayer funding to expand access to abortions if the Supreme Court overturns Roe v. Wade.

Big Media is describing these people as pro-abortion, pro-choice, liberals, progressives, Ruth Sent Us, Rise Up for Abortion Rights, etc. But regardless of how they’re identified they all have one thing in common. They are all Democrats, they were all elected by Democrat voters, and they want to govern America just like they govern New York.
