Conservatives will likely be debating for a long time which of President Trump’s Day One

actions were the most important or consequential (we weigh in on that soon).
And of course, there’s the matter of which are our favorites versus which are the most consequential.
But we doubt that too many of our conservative friends would argue with us that the following list covers all the most important of President Trump’s Day One actions:
However, the above list – consequential as those actions may be – doesn’t include our favorite of President Trump’s Day One actions: Pardoning those persecuted for their participation in the January 6, 2021 Capitol protest.
In addition to a blanket pardon for all of the “regular” protestors tried and convicted for participating in the J6 protest, President Trump ordered the Department of Justice to drop with prejudice to the prosecution all the outstanding cases against J6 protestors – meaning that for those still awaiting trial, the case against them is dismissed and the government cannot refile criminal charges related to J6 against them at some point in the future.
President Trump also commuted the sentences of the “Big Fish” detainees whom the Biden regime accused of the most serious crimes of seditious conspiracy and the like.
The sentences of the following individuals were commuted to time served:
• Stewart Rhodes
• Kelly Meggs
• Kenneth Harrelson
• Thomas Caldwell
• Jessica Watkins
• Roberto Minuta
• Edward Vallejo
• David Moerschel
• Joseph Hackett
• Ethan Nordean
• Joseph Biggs
• Zachary Rehl
• Dominic Pezzola
• Jeremy Bertino
Several of the individuals whose sentences were commuted were, in our view, the victims of entrapment by federal “confidential informants” and we urge the Trump administration to investigate the FBI infiltration of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers and if the facts warrant it, amend their commutations to full pardons.
Of the more than 1,583 individuals charged with federal crimes related to J6, approximately 1,009 had pled guilty as of January, with the remainder either convicted or awaiting trial. As of this writing some of the J6 political prisoners have been released, some are scheduled to be released in the next 24 hours, and there have been reports that, especially in DC, officials have been dragging their feet in processing and releasing them. We will keep CHQ readers updated as the releases progress.
