Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) has become the first Senator to confirm he will object during the
counting of the Electoral College votes on Jan. 6, joining the effort launched by Rep. Mo Brooks (AL-5) and more than a dozen House Republicans.
“I cannot vote to certify the electoral college results on Jan. 6 without raising the fact that some states, particularly Pennsylvania, failed to follow their own state election laws,” Hawley wrote in a statement released on Dec. 30. “And I cannot vote to certify without pointing out the unprecedented effort of mega-corporations, including Facebook and Twitter, to interfere in this election, in support of Joe Biden,” he added.
Hawley noted that Democrats objected during the 2004 and 2016 elections “in order to raise concerns” about election integrity. “They were praised by Democratic leadership and the media when they objected,” Hawley added, saying that they “were entitled to do so” and Republicans concerned about election integrity in the Nov. 3 election “are entitled to do the same.”
Sen. Hawley demanded that Congress investigate voter fraud allegations and make sure that future elections are secure, charging that both chambers have failed to act on the massive evidence of fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
“For these reasons,” Hawley continued, “I will follow the same practice Democrat members of Congress have in years past and object during the certification process on Jan. 6 to raise these critical issues.”
In an interview with The Epoch Times’ American Thought Leaders program, Rep. Brooks said he believes the Electoral College vote can be rejected, and the election can ultimately be decided in the House of Representatives.
The notion that Republicans and President Trump plan to playout the constitutional process to the very end has begun to drive Democrats and their Leftwing allies nuts. For example, Far Left lawyer and pundit Laurence Tribe, tweeting from his @tribelaw account, wrote:
Nobody should be surprised by Donald Trump’s praise of @TTuberville for the Senator-elect’s plan to attempt a coup when the Senate and House meet on Jan 6 to “count” the Electoral Votes. Though doomed to fail, it’ll boost the dangerous myth that the 2020 election was stolen…
But there’s nothing wrong with fighting this fraud-tainted election until every constitutional option is exhausted, Democrats have used the same process even when there were no credible allegations of fraud.
Former California Sen. Barbara Boxer “tried to strike Ohio for George Bush back in 2005, so this is not unusual,” Rep. Brooks said in an interview with Fox Business on Dec. 15. “The law is very clear, the House of Representatives in combination with the United States Senate has the lawful authority to accept or reject Electoral College vote submissions from states that have such flawed election systems that they’re not worthy of our trust.”
Senator Hawley, Representative Brooks, and other House conservatives have stepped-up to do their constitutional duty and exercise their constitutional responsibilities – but they need us to have their backs and put pressure on reluctant Republican Senators and Representatives to do likewise.
We urge every CHQ reader and friend to go to Washington DC on January 5th and 6th to join the #StopTheSteal events and to show your solidarity with President Trump and the Members of Congress who plan to object to the counting of Electoral College votes cast by delegations tainted by election fraud.
The Twitter account of @MilionMagaMarch has lots of information on the march and related activities, but the most important thing MAGA conservatives can do, next to showing up in DC, is to contact their Representatives and Senators and demand they join Republicans Rep. Mo Brooks (AL-5) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) when he stands to object to the counting of Electoral votes submitted by delegations tainted by election fraud.
So far, a good number of House Republicans, including some of our great new MAGA conservatives like Marjorie Taylor Green, Madison Cawthorn and Lauren Boebert, have committed to backing Rep. Mo Brooks.
And so have a lot of those who have been President Trump’s strong supporters in Congress, including Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida, Rep. Ted Budd, Rep. Lance Gooden, Rep. Andy Biggs, Rep. Jody Hice, Rep. Jed Babin and many others.
But we need to keep the pressure on the Senate because so far only Senator Josh Hawley has stated he will unequivocally join with Rep. Mo Brooks to object, Senator David Perdue of Georgia, Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, and Senator-elect Tommy Tuberville of Alabama have all indicated they are open to the idea, so we must get them and other Republicans on board.
With New Year holiday upon us and many MAGA conservatives focused on family obligations there are two things every one of us must find time to do:
First, plan to go the DC for January 5 and 6;
Second, call or email your Senators to demand they join the objection to counting the votes of tainted Electors when the Electoral College votes are counted on January 6, 2021. The toll-free Capitol Switchboard (1-866-220-0044). Tell Republican Senators to join Sen. Hawley when he objects to the same slate of Electors that Rep. Mo Brooks objects to, including Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nevada and New Mexico.

I had no idea there were so many gutless weasels in the Senate that call themselves conservatives and took an oath to defend the Constitution. Then again, I thought my vote actually counted on November 3....Silly me.
