Chris Licht, the now-former chairman and CEO of CNN Worldwide was unceremoniously fired from the network, barely a month after the network’s town hall with former President Donald Trump that outraged the cable news laggard’s Far-Left staff, even as it brought them a rare win over FOX.
Mr. Licht’s big mistake was thinking that he was working for a legitimate media company, rather than an extension of the Democratic Party. His oft expressed desire to reestablish something resembling unbiased journalism at the cable news industry’s pioneer network was greeted with hostility and alarm by CNN staff, leading Democratic Party operatives and donors who had grown used to using CNN as an extension of their political consulting firms and the Democratic National Committee’s media shop.
So, Licht is out, to be replaced temporarily by a “management team” including – wait for it now – the wife of a Biden administration official who also served a key position in Hillary Clinton's State Department.
The “management team” will include CNN's executive vice president of editorial, Virginia Moseley,, EVP of talent and content development, Amy Entelis, EVP of U.S. programming Eric Sherling, and recently appointed chief operating officer David Leavy, will run CNN on an interim basis.
CNN's executive vice president of editorial, Virginia Moseley, is the wife of Thomas Nides, who was nominated by President Biden to be U.S. Ambassador to Israel in 2021 and is a longtime player in Clinton world.
According to a FOX News report, Nides was managing director and vice-chairman of Morgan Stanley, and has been a player from the ground to the heights of Democratic politics for decades, holding positions as a Democratic congressional aide and also in Walter Mondale's 1984 presidential campaign, the Clinton administration and the Obama administration.
He served in the State Department under Hillary Clinton from 2011 to 2013 as a deputy secretary of state for management and was described in a 2016 Politico story about Clinton's possible choices for a White House Chief of Staff as a "top-tier manager with whom Clinton likes spending time." He also helped raise money for her 2008 and 2016 presidential campaigns.
The FOX report also cited a New Yorker story in 2015 that discussed him at length as a key Democratic Wall Street figure who had won Clinton's confidence. The profile noted he was instrumental in preparing Clinton for her testimony to Congress about the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack.
This is not the first incestuous relationship between CNN higher-ups and high profile Democrats.
According to the FOX News report, former chief CNN Worldwide marketing executive Allison Gollust was director of communications for former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo from 2012 to 2013, when then-CNN President Jeff Zucker hired her at CNN.
Zucker was forced out last year after he admitted to not revealing a romantic relationship with Gollust, which the pair claimed began during the coronavirus pandemic. CNN staffers and outside observers alike never bought that explanation, as their relationship was said to be an "open secret" going back years throughout the media industry.
As Erick Erickson explained in a 2017 column for the Clarion Ledger, there is a pretty substantial symbiotic relationship between the political left in Washington and the media. While a few people went from the media to the Bush Administration, it was never like it was with Obama, or we might add, with Biden.
Here just a few of the media figures and their revolving door marriages and relationships with high-level Democrats cited by Mr. Erickson:
During the Obama Administration, many members of the media floated in and out of the administration and in and out of leftwing blogs and think tanks. They are still around with many of them serving as reporters and their leftwing friends as active members of the Democrats' "resistance." They trade information and shape each other's worldviews and I am not convinced the heads of media outlets are doing enough to push their reporters to separate their worldview from the facts at hand. As a result, we are not getting the whole truth, but a narrative within which facts are shaped to advance the narrative.
Jay Carney went from Time to the White House press secretary's office. Shailagh Murray went from the Washington Post to the Veep's office while married to Neil King at the Wall Street Journal. Neil King has left the Wall Street Journal to work for Fusion GPS. Linda Douglass went from ABC News to the White House and then the Atlantic. Jill Zuckman went from the Chicago Tribune to the Obama Administration's Transportation Department. Douglas Frantz went from the Washington Post to the State Department and Stephen Barr went from the Post to the Labor Department.
Ruth Marcus, who heads the Washington Post Editorial Board, is married to the Obama Administration's former Federal Trade Commission Chairman. Jonathan Allen had been at the Politico before going to work for Debbie Wasserman Schultz, then back to Politico before going to the left leaning Vox. Now he is at NBC News. Andy Barr worked for the Politico before leaving for Democrat politics. Michael Scherer was at both Salon and Mother Jones before going to Time. Laura Rozen was at Mother Jones and the American Prospect before Foreign Policy magazine. Even Nate Silver had started out at Daily Kos. Then, of course, there is Matthew Dowd, who worked for scores of Democrats before working for George Bush. That, though he later washed his hands of Bush, bought him street credibility with ABC News to become its senior politically analyst alongside George Stephanopoulos, formerly of the Clinton Administration.
And who can forget the GOP’s “party of stupid” moments having debates moderated by Clinton Foundation member Matt Lauer and Martha Raddatz, a fawning member of the Washington liberal sisterhood who has promoted and supported Hillary Clinton since the day she arrived in DC back in 1993. Raddatz has deep ties to the old-line liberal establishment media and to the Obama and Biden administrations, having been married to the son of Washington’s ultimate establishment liberal, long time Washington Post editor, the late Ben Bradlee, and later to Obama’s FCC Chairman, Julius Genachowski.
So, after a year-long siege, Chris Licht is out, CNN has been recaptured and is safely back in the hands of the incestuous Left.

This is not surprising. Of greater interest and concern is the fall of Fox News. It looks like Judge Jeanine is next on their "hit list."
PLEASE LORD, RIP THE TONGUES FROM THE DEVILS' MOUTHS!!!
MAKE THEM CHOKE ON THEIR LIES!!!
In other words CNN aka the Communist News Network will continue to be what it always has been- nothing but the propaganda arm of the Democrat aka Communist Party.
