If you didn’t watch yesterday’s Philadelphia Eagles/Cincinnati Bengals game on CBS Sports, you missed one of the best campaign ads in recent memory.
The ad titled "Never Quit" highlights President Trump's promise to voters that he will "fight for you with every breath" and "never let you down."
It features UFC CEO Dana White saying, "President Trump is literally putting his life on the line and he's willing to risk it all because he loves this country."
At two minutes long the ad is long for a network TV spot, but it hits hard.
Here’s the transcript:
President Trump: When I first came into office, I cut taxes more than any other President. We have created 7 million new jobs...and it led to a growth like we've never seen before. We created the greatest economy in history by far. When I left office, it changed. Inflation destroyed the lives of so many people. Interest rates went from 2% to 10%. And millions of illegal immigrants and traffickers and drugs coming into our country. Our country has gone to hell. So, I made a decision to run. We're going to make America great again. Greater than ever before.
I will fight for you with every breath, and I will never let you down.
Dana White: President Trump is literally putting his life on the line and he's willing to risk it all because he loves this country.
Lara Trump: He is strong. He is fearless. And he is what this country needs right now.
Eric Trump: Our cities will be safe. Our streets will be clean. And our border will be secure.
Tulsi Gabbard: We can't allow our country to be destroyed by politicians who will put their own power ahead of the interest of the American people...our freedom and our future.
Amber Rose: The left told me to hate Trump. When you cut through the lies you realize the truth. American families were better when Donald Trump was President. We were safer, wealthier and stronger.
Donald Trump Jr.: So, if you love this country. If you want to stand up and fight for the future of our nation, you must re-elect Donald J. Trump.
President Trump: I'm Donald J. Trump and I approve this message.
According to reporting by penncapitol-star.com Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign also has a TV ad running during the Eagles game, titled “Philly vs. Trump,” which includes footage of Trump saying “Bad things happen in Philadelphia” during a 2020 debate. “They don’t like us, we don’t care,” the voiceover states, “And when you fight us, we fight back. From 1776 to 4th and 26, so go ahead, talk whatever s–t you want Donald. We’re voting soon. And when it comes to freedom, Philly is undefeated.”
A second Harris campaign ad will run during Monday night’s Pittsburgh Steelers game, titled “Yinzer,” with a man named Chris who describes himself as a diehard Steelers fan. “Donald Trump does not care about the working man whatsoever. He’s a little rich kid too, he ain’t me,” Chris says. “Little silver spoon boy Donald Trump. How is he relatable to me whatsoever? The guy literally lives in a country club. Do I look like a country club kind of guy?”
However, we don’t think Kamala’s counter programing attempts to remake her image as “I grew up in a middle-class family” will work, mostly because she keeps stepping on her own message. On a visit to the border Harris was sporting a $62,000 Tiffany's necklace as she wore dark sunglasses, a brown jacket over a black top, and dark-colored pants. Earlier Harris took a hit for wearing some not-so-middle-class $800 Tiffany earrings for the debate.
