Trump Endorses The House ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ Budget

President Trump wants his tax cuts now, and with the House having passed a solid starting

point, he seems to be in no mood to wait while the Senate dithers.

On Tuesday, the President weighed in strongly in favor of the House budget, which immediately extends the Trump tax cuts versus the flawed Senate strategy of doing a no-tax-cuts budget now and a tax bill at some unknown date in the future.

In a post to his Truth Social platform the President took (fairly gentle for Trump) aim at Senator Lindsey Graham and his Senate budget plan, posting:

As our friend Stephen Moore observed in a recent edition of his must-read Committee to Unleash Prosperity Hotline – “This one beautiful bill makes the most sense to us. Charge forward now with Trump’s highest national priority: extend the tax cuts so they don’t expire at the end of the year. Why wait?”

Why wait indeed, because the grassroots are already getting restless.

Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform issued the following statement in support of President Trump’s position:

“American families and businesses cannot afford for any part of the Trump agenda to be delayed. Trump has a mandate on the economy to restore growth and prevent the largest tax hike in American history by making the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts permanent law. Any delay to the Trump Tax Cuts not only slows economic growth but also increases the risk of failure to extend them altogether. Americans for Tax Reform urges the House to pass its budget resolution and send it over to the Senate where leaders like Senate Finance Chairman Mike Crapo have made it clear any tax package must contain permanency for the 2017 Trump tax cuts.”

Manufacturers, a key sector in Trump’s plan to reinvigorate the American economy, have also gotten behind the House package that recently passed Committee.

And that has led some Senators to get the message. Sen. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, who has often been a squirrel on other issues, may be the first Senator to come out and say he’s a YES on the House bill.

Taxpayers face the largest tax increase in American history if Congress fails to extend the 2017 Trump tax cuts. Failure from Congress to act would mean taxpayers fall back into living under Obama’s tax rates, so you know what to do…

The Capitol Switchboard is (202-224-3121), call your Senators and Representative TODAY to demand that they support President Trump’s “one big beautiful bill” strategy on border security, tax cuts, energy security and regulatory relief.

Republican leadership in both houses of Congress are as much against Trump and his policies as they were in2017. If not, they would have the necessary legislation mostly written and awaiting input from the White House and OMB as to the numbers and details the President requires. The Republican establishment intends to delay, dilute and derail as much as possible, and finally give him a bill they will claim provides everything he asked for, but has too little of it to be effective.
