Why Won’t The Media Report What Trump Said?

We went looking for a transcript or at least some strong reporting on what former President Donald Trump said at his recent “History Tour” engagements with Bill O’Reilly and were

shocked to find that, instead of reports on the substance of Trump’s remarks what the establishment media reported was stats intended to denigrate the size of his crowds.

For example, Newsweek, which often carries good conservatives, such as our friend Ben Weingarten, didn’t report one word of Trump’s remarks, the entire article was stuff like this:

Former President Donald Trump and television host Bill O'Reilly's 'History Tour' event in Houston had lots of empty seats on Saturday—although thousands were still in attendance.

The Houston event took place at the Toyota Center, which purportedly has capacity for up to 19,000 attendees. Photos and video shared by Houston Chronicle reporter Jeremy Wallace showed the upper sections of the stadium with many open seats, as well as quite a few empty chairs on the main floor about five minutes before the event was set to begin.

"Lots of room to spread out," Wallace wrote in a Saturday tweet, sharing images of the crowd size.

And this:

The tour held its first stops in Florida last weekend, with events in Sunrise and Orlando. Local journalists at the Sunrise event shared a similar assessment of the crowd size, with the Sun-Sentinel reporting that the "cavernous" FLA Live Arena had lots of empty seats as O'Reilly touted a "massive crowd."

As might be expected, the HuffPost also made a point of ignoring the substance of the event in favor of denigrating the crowd size:

The traveling “History Tour” featuring former President Donald Trump and former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly saw yet another underwhelming crowd during its Houston leg on Saturday, The Houston Chronicle reported.

“Top sections were blocked off, and there were still plenty of seats available” at the slated start time.

Finally, after an extensive web search we discovered the Houston Chronicle had some reporting on Trump’s remarks – behind a paywall of course. But we were prepared to pay our 99 cents to read about what the former President had to say.

It turned out 99 cents was about all the Houston Chronicle report was worth.

In addition to repeating the lie that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick died as a result of being “overpowered and beaten by rioters” – the medical examiner’s report said he died of “natural causes” – the Houston Chronicle report gave almost as much space to nutty Leftist U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who wasn’t there and was unlikely to have spent 90 minutes listening to Trump’s remarks, as it did to Trump.

Here’s the sum total of the direct quotes from President Trump reported by the Houston Chronicle:

Former President Donald Trump said Saturday that if he could do it over again, he would do more to ensure that National Guard troops were deployed on Jan. 6 to prevent the storming of the U.S. Capitol.

In a public question-and-answer session with former Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly, Trump said he had recommended a day before the riot that 10,000 troops be deployed at the Capitol, but it didn’t happen.

“I would have insisted they had proper protection,” Trump told thousands of supporters at the Toyota Center in Houston.

And:

While saying he would have sought better protection for lawmakers on Jan. 6., Trump was far from apologetic about the assault on the Capitol, which forced a lockdown of the complex, the evacuation of members of Congress and an hours-long delay in the certification of the 2020 presidential election results. Five people died in connection with the violence.

Trump referred Saturday to the “Stop the Steal” rally he held at the Ellipse, near the White House, on Jan. 6. At that rally, Trump recited a litany of discredited claims that the election had been stolen from him.

Democrats contend that Trump incited those present to march down Pennsylvania Avenue and attack the Capitol when he said: “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”

Trump told the Toyota Center audience that there was “love in that crowd” at the Ellipse.

And:

Trump also defended Ashli Bobbitt, the 35-year-old Air Force veteran who was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer during the storming of the building. Trump called Bobbitt a patriot and said “nobody else died” that day.

Four others lost their lives during and after the attack, including Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died the day after he was overpowered and beaten by rioters.

And:

During the 90-minute event at the Toyota Center, Trump insisted that if he were still in office, Russia would not be threatening to invade Ukraine, because he commanded the respect of Russian president Vladimir Putin and many other world leaders.

He said China and Russian don’t respect Biden.

“I had a great relationship with both of them,” Trump said.

Later, he told O’Reilly: “Russia wasn’t going to go into Ukraine, I guarantee you that.”

Trump did not offer any new hints about whether he will run for president in 2024. But in response to a question from O’Reilly, he said that entering politics had been worthwhile, despite the criticism he took from the media.

“I love this country,” he said. “It’s worth it.”

You can see a short YouTube video through this link and a report from KHOU-11 TV through this link otherwise whatever it was that the former President said in Houston appears to have been intentionally memory holed by the establishment media.

Shocked? Hardly...Pretty obvious that they are terrified of Trump. Push the 6th BS narrative and supress the rally numbers. Seek to impeach or prosecute after the fact and on little or no evidence (see also Steele dossier) while Mad Max, DT Nancy speak openly about insurrection against Trump, and their militant chaos brigades BLM and Antifa burn and stage hostile take-overs of city blocks for MONTHS at a time.

Civil War part II may be the only way short of a peaceful agreement to divide the once United States. Ideological differences this widely divided will either be remedied by borders and physical separation or physical confrontation.

The sad part is that absent the media and bad actors like Zuckerburg and…

Why didn't Tucker Carlson and Fox News discuss it? Or Newsmax, for that matter? Fox is sliding further and further left. Can't really trust any media outlets anymore.

Replying to

Fox has slid far to the left. Not sure we can trust any media outlets anymore. Greg Kelly and Grant Stinchfield on Newsmax are good. So is Eric Bolling. Take everyone else with a grain of that proverbial salt.
