9/11 Is Far From Over

Today, Joe Biden and other American leaders are going to talk about the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 al-Qaeda attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and United

Airlines Flight 93, the September 11, 2012 attacks by Islamic militant group Ansar al-Sharia on U.S. government facilities in Benghazi, Libya that killed U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and CIA contractors Tyrone S. Woods and Glen Doherty and our defeat in Afghanistan as if they are discrete incidents unrelated to each other.

Nothing could be further from the truth, but what is the worst desecration of the memories of those lost to Islamist attacks is the notion promoted by President Joe Biden that surrendering in Afghanistan will end the threat of these kind of attacks in the future.

The reality is that Islamists, both outside and inside the United States, continue to plan and execute attacks as part of the war Islam has declared on the West. And what’s more, some of the key players in the 2001 and 2012 attacks remain at large, living openly in Afghanistan and are now able to prosecute that war with equipment and facilities we abandoned to them.

"The Taliban are bringing back their old generation, which means the Taliban have not changed their thinking or their leadership," said Haroun Mir, a political analyst in the Afghan capital whose whereabouts are now unknown.

Our friend, former CIA operations officer Clare M. Lopez, Founder/President Lopez Liberty LLC and former Vice President for Research & Analysis at the Center for Security Policy served as an expert witness in the 2011 Havlish case. That terrorism case, in which Judge George Daniels, of the Southern District of New York ruled in December of 2011 that Iran Hizballah were co-responsible with al Qaeda for 9/11 attacks, says bin Laden’s successor, Ayman al-Zawahiri, travels freely between Iran and Quetta, Pakistan.

It seems everybody knows this and has known this for years, but no one wants to do anything about it observed Ms. Lopez.

Ms. Lopez’s observation that “everybody knows this and has known this for years, but no one wants to do anything about it” appears to have born bitter fruit in the 10,000 or more Pakistani jihadis that allegedly reinforced the Taliban as they swept across Afghanistan.

And in what amounts to another desecration of the memories of those lost to jihadi attacks, Joe Biden is now preparing to bring some 50,000 unvetted Afghans into the United States. Given that almost all the Islamist terrorist leaders, and their understudies, remain deeply connected to the new leaders of Afghanistan’s Taliban government, Pakistan’s Islamist shadow government and Muslims in the United States this amounts to bringing an unknown number of enemy soldiers into America.

They will add their numbers to some 4 million Muslims that have been allowed into our country since 9/11. To take advantage of this wave of potential recruits to jihad the number of radicalizing mosques and Islamist Imams – many funded by the Islamist sympathizing governments of Turkey, the Gulf States and Saudi Arabia – has risen accordingly. They will take our defeat in Afghanistan as a sign to renew the jihad here – and with good reason.

As 9/11 and the many Muslim plots and attacks perpetrated here since have shown, the war isn’t over there, it is right here. The surrender in Afghanistan means the United States is losing the war Islam has declared on the West, even though Joe Biden and many other Democrat politicians would like to claim bringing our troops home (while leaving an unknown number of civilians) achieves some sort of “peace.”

By promoting the foolish and wrong idea that “Islam is a religion of peace” the United States has undermined its own ideological position in this war, and, by allowing millions of Muslims to immigrate to the West we have introduced our ideological enemies into the heartland of our own countries.

It should be clear to anyone with a modicum of knowledge about Islam and its doctrine of Sharia supremacy that the Taliban in Afghanistan, the theocratic regime in Iran and the Houthis in Yemen, and their offshoots and clients elsewhere around the world, do not desire any kind of “peace” except the peace of the Ummah – the peace of the worldwide reign of Islam.

As long as American politicians and opinion leaders refuse to acknowledge that Islamism – not “terrorism” – is the ideology behind 9/11, and as long as our government refuses to battle that ideology, then the leaders of the Taliban we exchanged for the traitor Bowe Bergdahl will mentor a new generation of jihadis to continue to plot right here in America, and 9/11 will never be over.
