GOP Must Subpoena Joe Biden’s 5,000+ Pseudonymous Emails

In response to a June 2022 Freedom of Information Act request by the Southeastern Legal Foundation, a nonprofit constitutional legal group, the National Archives and Records

Administration has admitted that it is in possession of nearly 5,400 emails, electronic records and documents that potentially show President Biden using a pseudonym during his vice presidency.

According to reporting by The New York Post, the original request sought emails pertaining to the accounts of Robin Ware, Robert L. Peters and JRB Ware — pseudonyms now-President Biden was known to use in the White House during his time as President Barack Obama’s vice president.

The Southeastern Legal Foundation on Monday filed suit against NARA for the release of the records, which the group claims may show that Biden forwarded government information and discussed government business with his son Hunter Biden and others.

“All too often, public officials abuse their power by using it for their personal or political benefit. When they do, many seek to hide it. The only way to preserve governmental integrity is for NARA to release Biden’s nearly 5,400 emails to SLF and thus the public. The American public deserves to know what is in them,” Kimberly Hermann, SLF general counsel, said in a statement reported by The New York Post's Victor Nava.

Regular CHQ readers will recall that complaints from NARA and its chief archivist were proximate causes of the original Trump documents indictment. Now the Southeastern Legal Foundation accuses NARA of having “dragged its feet” since the June 2022 FOIA request for Joe Biden’s emails and says that not a single email has been produced since the government agency acknowledged their existence just days after the request, leading us to speculate that NARA is actively aiding Biden in covering up evidence of his corruption.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) has demanded that NARA hand over any unredacted records in which Joe Biden used a pseudonym during his vice presidency as part of his probe into the role the former vice president played in Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings, but so far NARA has failed to comply and furnish the records.

In a letter to Archivist Colleen Shogan, Comer requested “[a]ny document or communication in which a pseudonym for Vice President Joe Biden was included either as a sender, recipient, copied or was included in the contents of the document or communication, including but not limited to Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware.”

Comer also seeks “[a]ny document or communication in which Hunter Biden, Eric Schwerin, or Devon Archer was included either as a sender, recipient, copied, or was included in the contents of the document or communication” and “[a]ll drafts from November 1, 2015, to December 9, 2015, of then-Vice President Biden’s speech delivered to the Ukrainian Rada on December 9, 2015.”

Comer specifically asked for “unrestricted special access under the PRA to Case Number 2023- 0022-F, entitled ‘Email Messages To and/or From Vice President Biden and Hunter Biden related to Burisma and Ukraine,'” which contains some of the daily schedule emails, with redactions.

Emails previously released by the Archives and retrieved from Hunter’s abandoned laptop reveal that Joe Biden used the email address “Robert.L.Peters@pci.gov” while he was Obama’s second-in-command and that his aide John Flynn cc’d Hunter on 10 emails containing the elder Biden’s daily schedule between May 18 and June 15, 2016.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” Comer (R-Ky.) said in a statement.

“We already have evidence of then-Vice President Biden speaking, dining, and having coffee with his son’s foreign business associates,” Comer continued.

“We also know that Hunter Biden and his associates were informed of then-Vice President Biden’s official government duties in countries where they had a financial interest. The National Archives must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.“

As the Editors of The New York Post observed, the Archives may make noise about protecting Joe’s privacy rights, but he waived those when he broke the clear rules on keeping public business out of private emails.

Especially ones sent under a phony cover name.

If Biden or executive-branch personnel who work for him try to block access to these emails, the only possible conclusion is that they hold clear evidence of wrongdoing.

The Capitol Switchboard is (202-224-3121), call today and tell House Oversight and Investigations Chairman James Comer he must subpoena the unredacted versions of ALL of Joe Biden’s pseudonymous emails.

Don't hold your breath, folks. The GOP isn't going to rock the boat much, if at all--they are perfectly content being second fiddle to Biden Inc. (Look at how they deserted President Trump.)
