New Polls: Republicans Surging In Nevada And Pennsylvania

New polls show that Republican Pennsylvania Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz is leading Far-Left Democrat John Fetterman and in Nevada conservative Republican All Star Adam Laxalt is maintaining a five-point lead over "woke" incumbent Democrat Senator Catherine Cortez Masto.

Rasmussen Reports, one of the most accurate pollsters of the last 20 years, shows Masto is down five points to Adam Laxalt, 43 to 48 percent.

Breitbart’s John Nolte reports in the RealClearPolitics poll of polls, Laxalt has held a stubborn but steady lead over Masto for five weeks. The poll of polls average has him up 1.2 points. RealClearPolitics also projects the GOP will win this seat.

Mr. Nolte reported another poll of Nevada’s U.S. Senate race shows the Republican Laxalt surging. Last month Laxalt was down three points in a Club for Growth survey. He is now up two points in that same poll. That’s a five-point jump, noted Nolte.

Nolte says even the far-left Politico, a propaganda site for the Democrat party, calls the Club for Growth Nevada poll a “bad sign for Democrats in critical Nevada Senate race.”

“The bump for Laxalt represents a swing toward Republicans as concerns about the economy loom large in contrast with a Democratic summer boost in momentum over abortion rights,” the far-left Politico adds.

“Independent voters [in Nevada] appear to be breaking with the GOP as the Nov. 8 election nears,” concluded the Politico reporters.

Even Left-leaning VOX says a Cortez Masto loss could also cost Democrats their Senate majority. And because she’s running ahead of most other Nevada Democrats, a loss could all but guarantee that Nevada Democrats up and down the ballot are swept out of power, including the state’s three imperiled Democratic House members.

Finally, observed Vox senior political writer Christian Paz, a Cortz Masto defeat would suggest that even a well-funded, hardworking Democratic candidate running in 2022 could not overcome the political headwinds of an unpopular president and a toxic economic outlook. And it would suggest deep troubles with working-class and Latino voters for national Democrats running in 2024, when Nevada’s other Democratic senator is up for reelection.

Regarding the Pennsylvania Senate race, John Rigolizzo of the Daily Wire reported a poll of 1,013 likely voters, conducted by market research firm Wick between October 9-13, found that Oz, the celebrity heart surgeon, leads by 4.5 points over Fetterman, the lieutenant governor, with just two weeks left before the 2022 midterms. The poll signifies that Oz may be breaking through a polling wall, as he has been behind Fetterman in polling for most of the cycle.

According to the poll, Oz leads Fetterman 49.1%-44.6%. Another 3.4% are voting for someone else, and 2.9% are undecided. Among those undecided voters, Oz has a sizable lead, 59%-41%.

The poll also showed that Republican Doug Mastriano is within the margin of error against Democrat Josh Shapiro in the Pennsylvania Governor’s race. Shapiro leads Mastriano 48.5%-46.4%; that number is well within the poll’s 3.1% margin of error. Mastriano also holds a slight lead among undecided voters; 50.9% of undecideds break for Mastriano, while 49.1% break for Shapiro.

Mr. Rigolizzo reported the Wick poll was followed by another poll that showed the race was effectively tied. An InsiderAdvantage/Fox29 news poll showed that Oz and Fetterman were tied at about 46% apiece. InsiderAdvantage chairman Matt Towery explained that Oz’s surge was coming largely from self-described independent voters, who are breaking for Oz by twenty points.

“Oz is also picking an unusually high 14% of the African American vote and Asians and Hispanics prefer Oz[,] say they are voting for Oz by a wide margin,” Towery added. “Fetterman continues to enjoy a ten-point lead among female voters, while men prefer Oz at that same rate.”

The same poll found that Mastriano is also surging in the governor’s race. Shapiro leads Mastriano 49%-42%, with 6% of voters undecided, but Towery explained that Mastriano is experiencing a similar wave of support from self-described independents: 18% of independents are breaking for the Republican, the poll found.

Undecideds may heavily favor the Republicans in both Pennsylvania races, reported Mr. Rigolizzo. Just 44% of voters have a favorable opinion of Democratic President Joe Biden, while nearly 55% are unfavorable toward Biden.

Fetterman is a cognitive mess. He can barely speak coherently. The real question is why did it take Oz this long to catch him in these alleged polls? Makes me wonder how good a candidate Oz is.

Of course, the voters can still give Fetterman the Biden treatment--and just elect him anyway. Then he and the former vice-president can wander around D.C. together . . . !

And what are Republicans doing about this (if anything)? That is the big question here. I'm hearing nothing but crickets . . .
