If you want a really frightening experience listen to the audio transcript of the Supreme Court’s hearing on Biden’s OSHA and HHS forced vaccination programs. I characterize listening to the oral arguments as a frightening experience because I assumed (probably like most Americans) that the Democrat Supreme Court Justices were individuals with above average intelligence and at least an average level of integrity or adherence to the truth.
But it turns out I was wrong on both counts, and that is scary as hell.
Justice Sonya Sotomayor proved herself to be both the dumbest and the most divorced from the facts of the COVID epidemic of the nine Justices, but Justices Breyer and Kagan weren’t far behind.
Here are just a few examples of Sotomayor’s descent into political and informational hackery worthy of an appearance on The View or Rachel Maddow:
“Why isn’t the human being like a machine if it’s spewing a virus, blood-borne [sic] viruses?” (transcript at page 29)
"What’s the difference between this and telling employers where sparks are flying in the work place, your workers have to wear a mask?"
“[C]ounsel, those numbers show that Omicron is as deadly and causes as much serious disease in the unvaccinated as Delta did…. We have over 100,000 children, which we’ve never had before, in — in serious condition and many on ventilators.” (transcript at pages 53-54)
According to reporting by the UK’s Daily Mail, the current seven-day average of Covid patients under 18 who are hospitalized is 797.
Since August of 2020, there have not even been 100,000 Covid-19 hospitalizations among children.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 82,843 children have been hospitalized during that time period.
About 600 Americans under the age of 18 have died of Covid-19 over the entire course of the pandemic.
Breyer, meanwhile, falsely claimed there were 750 million new cases of Covid-19 in the U.S.
“750 million new cases yesterday, or close to that, is a lot. I don't mean to be facetious.”
Breyer was only off by a factor of nearly a thousand – the real number was 786,824 new infections, recorded the day before the hearing, and 750 million would be about twice the population of the United States.
Democrat Justice Elena Kagan seemed to strike down several of the Supreme Court’s more notable cases on cultural issues by arguing against courts deciding issues in the place of legislatures.
“This is a publicly politically accountable policy. It also has the virtue of expertise,” she said.
“So, on the one hand, the agency with their political leadership can decide or on the other hand, courts can decide.
“Courts are not politically accountable. Courts have not been elected. Courts have no epidemiological expertise.
“Why in the world would courts decide this question?”
We wondered the same thing when the Supreme Court, with Kagan’s vote, struck down legislative definitions of marriage as between one man and one woman.
"It’s hard to believe someone so misinformed sits on the court, but that’s where we are — 100,000 kids are not in ICUs or on ventilators. That’s about 30-fold more than reality per the HHS," Laura Ingraham said during her FOX News program on Friday. "Even Anthony Fauci admits that most kids are hospitalized with COVID, not because of COVID."
"Who said you need basic logic and math skills to be a Supreme Court justice? You don’t,” said Ms. Ingraham. “We are repeatedly told that the liberals on the court are some of the brightest legal minds in the country," Laura said. "I’m beginning to have my doubts, especially after hearing those words leave Justice Sotomayor’s mouth."
Me too Laura, and we’re betting the Democrats’ whole regime of the rule of experts and credentialed elites just took a big hit on Friday as more and more Americans realized just how dumb and uninformed the ultimate judges of the scope of our constitutional liberty really are.
