Former President Donald Trump has weighed in on Senate Minority Leader Mitch
McConnell’s attack on the Republican National Committee for standing with those being oppressed for their involvement in the January 6 protest at the U.S. Capitol.
In a statement issued through his Save America PAC, President Trump said:
Mitch McConnell does not speak for the Republican Party, and does not represent the views of the vast majority of its voters. He did nothing to fight for his constituents and stop the most fraudulent election in American history. And he does nothing to stop the lawless Biden Administration, the invasion of our Borders, rising Inflation, Unconstitutional mandates, the persecution of political opponents, fact finding on the incompetent Afghanistan withdrawal, the giving away our energy independence, etc., which is all because of the fraudulent election. Instead, he bails out the Radical Left and the RINOs.
If Mitch would have fought for the election, like the Democrats would have if in the same position, we would not be discussing any of the above today, and our Country would be STRONG and PROUD instead of weak and embarrassed.
McConnell and the establishment media would like to make this out to be a big intramural GOP food fight over how to describe those caught up in the January 6 protest at the US Capitol, but it is not really new, nor is it really about January 6.
What it boils down to is a battle that has been going on for over 100 years between the self-appointed elite political class and the grassroots Republican base. It first cropped-up when Teddy Roosevelt split the GOP to form his own progressive Bull Moose Party, but it has reared its head many times over the years, most recently at several Republican National Conventions, where state party leaders and activists have objected to top-down changes to convention rules that deprived their delegates of the power to cast their votes and run the Party from the bottom up.
The leader of this ongoing effort has been our good friend Morton Blackwell, who along with David Bossie and others, put together the resolution censuring renegade RINOs Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger.
It is a great credit to Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel that she worked with Morton Blackwell and David Bossie to move the resolution through the process and bring it to a vote.
This is a far cry from 2012 and 2016 when then-RNC Chairman Reince Priebus championed rules and resolutions that would have all but institutionalized him and his cronies as the unaccountable masters of the national infrastructure of the GOP.
Having passed the censure resolution it would be great if the RNC would take up other proposals Morton Blackwell has championed over the years, such as doing away with Rules that allow presidential campaigns to, in essence, “fire” duly elected delegates they don’t like and replace them with individuals of their own choosing; and disallowing changes to the Republican Party Rules between Conventions, without a vote of delegates elected by the grassroots of the Party; and preserving the rules regarding the primary calendar that were designed to stop the trend toward front-loading the primary season and thereby preserve the opportunity for Republicans across the country to have a say in who their presidential candidate would be.
As we said in our column “The Turtle Party: Mitch McConnell’s Voter-Free Political Party,” based on his stated dissatisfaction with the grassroots voters that make up the Republican Party, perhaps Mitch McConnell and those that share his elitist views plan on starting their own political party. The “The Turtle Party” would apparently have no grassroots activists, nor would it need any voters. Instead, it will be made up entirely of timeserving elected officials, Washington lobbyists, corporate donors, grifting special interests and careerist DC flunkies.
The toll-free Capitol Switchboard (1-866-220-0044), call Senators McConnell, Romney, Graham and Cornyn, today and tell them the RNC was right to discipline Rep. Cheney and Kinzinger and if they don’t like it, they can always form the Turtle Party and run as a turtle, not as a Republican in their next campaign.

Chairwoman McDaniel can go to hell. Can I say that? I think I will. What sticks out to me was the lack of action from the RNC in 2020. I saw McDaniel on Twitter complaining about the Democrats changing the election rules...never saw what the RNC was doing about those changes. And of course, the election itself. The RNC did not defend Donald Trump. In fact, I believe it was rumored that McDaniel gave her stamp of approval to the outcome in Michigan, without having done any kind of investigation. She was on the record moving on from Trump, "focusing on the [illegitimate Georgia] runoffs." Why? Because she likely didn't want to miss an opportunity to fundraise! I think the…
Trump is the kingmaker in the Republican Party. McConnell would not even be in office if Trump hadn't bailed him out in his last campaign. RINOs like McConnell, Kinzinger, and Cheyney must go ASAP.
TRUMP 45 & 47! DEO VINDICE!
I don't agree with all the things, that President Trump spews, from his mouth. He has a lot of disgusting views of people, just because someone doesn't believe everything you say, doesn't make them criminal. That seems to be Trumps view, if it isn't his idea, its the highway, for those opinions. I don't believe his view, on the Vaccine are correct, if he had more research, before making judgement calls, we wouldn't be in the mandates, we are having right now. If he had fired Fuaci, like he should have and put an honest person in his place, our country would be a hundred times, better off. The lock downs he created, were a disaster, to many differing opinions,…
Cocaine Mitch is in bed with the CCP. He is a swamp rat and needs to go. The anti-Trump faction of the Stupid Party is just an offshoot of the progressive Left and joins with Democrats in hating everyday Americans. The Ruling Class has no use for We the People.
