Time For Americans To Heed Pastor Martin Niemöller's Warning

First they came for the Communists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews

And I did not speak out

Because I was not a Jew

Then they came for me

And there was no one left

To speak out for me

Pastor Martin Niemöller

Pastor Martin Niemöller may be, next to Dietrich Bonhoeffer, the most recognized Christian opponent of Nazism, but he didn’t start out as an opponent of Adolf Hitler. Indeed, when Hitler first rose to power Niemöller supported him and it wasn’t until Hitler began to interfere in the day-to-day operation of churches and even rewrite the Bible that Niemöller went into opposition. Unlike Bonhoeffer, who was executed in the waning days of World War II, Pastor Niemöller survived the Nazis to issue his warning against ignoring totalitarianism.

We remind CHQ readers and friends of Niemöller’s warning because we are seeing a similar step-by-step, group-by-group targeting of our fellow citizens by today’s most dangerous totalitarians – the new Democratic Party led by Joe Biden, Barack Obama and their coterie of political thugs and hitmen who are every bit as vicious as Hitler’s Brown Shirts and Gestapo.

Think I’m exaggerating?

On January 23, 2023, the FBI – that’s the Democrats’ political police – published an eleven-page document, known as a domain perspective, that linked “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists” (RMVEs) with individuals who hold a “radical-traditionalist Catholic” (RTC) ideology. In this memorandum, the FBI purported to distinguish what it called "traditional Catholics" from the RTC adherents, whom the FBI characterized as embracing "anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacist ideology." The FBI identified certain public policy issues—such as conservative stances on immigration, affirmative action, and life issues—that it believed would “catalyz[e]” RTC adherents. In addition to attempting to separate and categorize Catholic Americans based on theological distinctions, the FBI underscored the political nature of its actions: “FBI Richmond assesses RMVE interest in RTCs is likely to increase over the next 12 or 24 months in the run-up to the next general election cycle.

In other words, traditional Catholics are “politically unreliable” for Democrats and at a minimum need to be watched and perhaps “mitigated” as the memo said.

But this doesn’t affect me because I’m not a Catholic you might say.

In October of 2021 the FBI – that’s the Democrats’ political police – created a new “threat tag” scoping the "threat" of parents protesting pornography in school libraries and schools promoting transgenderism as threats "on a national level and providing an opportunity for comprehensive analysis of the threat picture for effective engagement with law enforcement partners at all levels."

This “threat tag” and the deployment of the FBI anti-terrorism tools against parents exercising their First Amendment rights weren’t organic, they were instigated by political supporters of the Democratic Party in the education industry.

But this doesn’t affect me because I don’t have children in school you might say.

In July of 2021 it was revealed that the FBI – that’s the Democrats’ political police – contrary to the provisions of the Second Amendment – planned an audit of records of concealed carry weapons permits held by local sheriffs' offices in Missouri. Missouri state Attorney General (now Senator) Eric Schmitt said, "I will use the full power of my office to stop the FBI, which has become relentlessly politicized and has virtually no credibility, from illegally prying around in the personal information of Missouri gun owners." It was later revealed that the FBI was bypassing the Constitution’s warrant provisions and is using commercial records and banks to identify gun owners and their purchases.

But this doesn’t affect me because I’m not a gun owner you might say.

Across American college and university campuses mobs of Democratic Party political activists – wearing jihadi keffiyehs the same way the Nazi mobs wore their Brown Shirts and arm bands - are terrorizing Jewish students, vandalizing Jewish institutions and defiling the American flag. And like the German police on Kristallnacht the university police and administration do nothing.

But this doesn’t affect me because I’m not Jewish, or a student at a college or university you might say.

Think again.

This message isn’t so much for conservatives as it is for our friends who are in the middle, or even lean Left. Initially, Pastor Niemöller's did not protest because he agreed with some of the Nazi program, and when he finally decided they were going too far, it was too late.

Today, Jews, traditional Catholics, conservative parents outraged by the grooming of their children and law-abiding gun owners are the canaries in the mine for you dear friends, because when you aren’t radical enough to satisfy the mob, or when you just want to go to class or work unhindered or when you object to your children being groomed or “transitioned” without your consent there will be no one left to defend you.
